Brian Corry

Lead Vocal, Guitar, Trumpet, Songwriter

Brian founded Mums The Word in Spring 2017 to perform both his original music and funky, upbeat covers. Besides being a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and trumpet player in MTW- Brian also enjoys playing the tenor banjo, percussion, and bass guitar. Brian brings local musicians together by hosting Open Mic Nights and Karaoke Nights in addition to participating in a variety of local jams. He has been performing a large repertoire of classic covers in South Jersey for 6 years. He can also be seen performing solo or with his acoustic act: The Pitch Pines.

Marisa Corry

Keyboard, Vocals

Marisa has been studying the piano since age 5 and graduated from West Chester University with a Bachelor of Music in 2012. As a piano major, Marisa studied classical piano and voice. She is the choral director and general music teacher at a local elementary school. After college Marisa began delving into the world of improvisational music, playing music with The Jugband.  Together with her husband Brian, she grew to love the art of playing in a jam band and exploring music in a new way. Marisa fuses classical techniques with jam and rock n' roll elements.

Jason Hosier

Lead Guitar

Jason's guitar playing is truly something to witness first hand.  Often compared to other virtuosos of the instrument, his Jazz Fusion/Blues Rock stylings lend a great deal to Mums the Word's unique sound.  Having studied the instrument for more than half his life, he has participated in many projects including: The Sakima Connection and The Pitch Pines. Besides playing and spending time with his friends, Jason enjoys traveling.

Dom Levy

Bass Guitar

Dom's raw talent on the bass is not to be taken lightly.  His abilities in writing only exceed his immense skill on the bass.  Currently involved in multiple groups, his most notable project:  Gypsy Sunrise, can be seen playing regularly around the local NJ, PA music scenes.

Eddie Meyer

Tenor Saxophone

Eddie Meyer, a multi-instrumentalist and session musician based out of the Philadelphia area. Known first and foremost as a talented sax player, he has played with many of the rock n roll, blues, funk, and jam bands in the region, making a name for himself as a highly sought after sideman. He has led a few of his own projects, including Saint Phoenix, Quarrydog, and Rolling Doubles.

Garrett White

Garrett's drumming style is often described as 'natural-sounding.'  With over 15 years experience, his technique remains indescribable!  Beside his accomplishments behind the kit, Garrett is a proven modern composer.  With a variety of solo projects spanning rock 'n' roll to EDM he has proven his skill in every facet of contemporary american music.  Having made contributions to a variety of Philly-local acts (including: Motherer and Eastern Function) he truly brings a variety of stylings and sounds to Mums the Word!

Mike Greaser

Auxillery Percussion

Mike's abilities as a percussionist remain unrivaled!  Responsible for providing much of the punch in a Mums the Word show, his background is in drumming for local, large-format rock cover bands.  Having contributed to a variety of groups including:  The Jugband and Dom Grosso Trio, his sensibilities regarding jam-band music are extremely honed!  Greaser also started a project called: Roasted Toaster, which served as a precursor to both Eastern Function and Mums the Word and brought many of us together through weekly jam sessions.
